The Martillos came to us hoping to mix up the standard holiday card send. They wanted to communicate their best wishes to friends and family in a way that would stand out amongst the sea of staged family photos. After a year (or two) of undeniable, nation-wide ‘bad luck’, we decided to center the card around the Luck. After all, who couldn’t use a little extra these days?
We settled on an interactive design that would showcase a mix of quippy fortunes and forecasts for the new year, paired with classic symbols of luck. Each card was stamped with scratch-off foil which, once-scratched, would reveal one of 17 different fortunes. Each fortune poked fun at the ever-unattainable New Years Resolution in a way that was sure to bring some much-needed levity to dry-January.
We feel confident that these cards will hold their own on the fridge front.
