As The Detail Department looked to expand their reach and venture into the retail arena, it became evident that the brand needed a new face that could level up to the company’s new goals. The current logo was not legible at a small scale for packaging or on social media platforms. It also did not convey the high-end nature of the brand, and was lacking brand guidelines that would ensure the consistency and integrity of the brand as it grows. The new logo features a high contrast sans serif that exudes elegance. The clean, geometric logo mark loosely alludes to the two Ds in the namesake, and doubles as an abstract interpretation of a sun - as the company’s retail line will focus on positive, feel-good graphics across a variety of applications
